You may have more information on the actual events of that first SWSWCCC, or you may have your own story to tell. I would love to hear them, and I am sure others would as well. In the meantime, I encourage you to carry on the tradition with your family, your friends, and any groups you may travel with. SWSWCCC should live on- even if it's only as a threat! And if you ever get a real crab to grab a victim, PLEASE send pictures! That's one thing I never did see... (Re-posted from 09/13/09)
Because of Jesus,
Carl,
ReplyDeleteDo we need to bring up the discussion of being in the ocean at night again?!!!
Lisa, we are going to do some night swimming next summer, and I am going to introduce you to SWSWCCC in person. So get ready. Your time is coming! :)
DeleteWe stayed at Ponderosa every year. All the teenagers would line the bridge over the swash at night.I always remember seeing a large shark swimming up and under the bridge one night
ReplyDeleteI grew up going to Ponderosa. We (eventually a family of 8) went every year until I was in high school. Our family dog, Charlie Brown, was very well known. If you had a canvas raft in the swash or on the beach, he thought it was his. North Myrtle is still my go to beach. My grandsons love it too!
ReplyDeleteLoved The Ponderosa Campground!! Played in the swash so much!! So many great memories! Spraying for mosquitoes twice a day! Yuck! Had a gaggle of ducks and as my Mother and I walked pass them I said sic her to them and one duck lowered his head and did just that! Lol! My Mama wasn't too happy with me!
