One Of My Best Days

January 1 is always a day on which we take time to imagine what life would be like if we did all the things we want and need to do.  It is a day on which we can see a preferred future for ourselves, with days full of sunshine and blessings.  Reality seldom matches such visions.  But lately I have been having some amazing days.  God has blessed me with such incredible people in my life, and I keep thinking to myself, "This could be my best day ever!"  I love having those days and not having to rate them, because different things make a day special.  They don't need to be compared, they just need to be appreciated- much like the people in our lives.

So today's post is short and sweet.  Think about it- it you were to make a list of your very best days so far in this life, which days would make your list?  What makes them special?  What sets them apart from all the other days?  I would love to hear some of your answers, but mainly I just want each of us to take some time today to thank God for the many wonderful days we have been blessed with.  I want to go into this new year with the attitude that THIS is one of my very best days- and that tomorrow will be even better.  I hope you will join me.

Because of Jesus,

  1. The joy I felt each of the days I held my healthy newborn sons is unparalleled. But the little daily milestones and figuring out the quirks of their unique personality as they grow also make for great days. Seeing them form bonds with others that I love is a real gift. In therms of special days, it's hard to beat reconnecting with old friends after years. I hope the coming year brings more reunions!
BIG Hugs to the Jones family!

  2. Thanks for sharing, Jocelyn. There is much wisdom in enjoying those day to day milestones, just as their is much joy in reuniting with old friends. May 2012 bring us all much of both!!! :)
