How do we face the #DangerDays- those times when life is overwhelming or new adventures await us? We do it by remembering that we are never alone. That God is always with us. That sometimes we find out greatest joys not in the calm waters of a placid lake, but in the crashing waves of the ocean. I love that God sometimes protects us from the waves, but more often calls us to dive into them. We turn in fear when we should be yelling SURF'S UP! Scripture reminds us  that courage is not the lack of fear, it is the willingness to go on with life in spite of our trepidations. And that kind of courage only has ONE source. The love of God whose name is Jesus is what makes us brave. Enjoy my favorite new worship song, and then read the lyrics and let them wash over you- just like the waves.
