It can take years to get over being hurt. <br /><br />As a thought, maybe he has forgiven you completely but does not want to be your friend anymore despite the good relationship you had before. Maybe what you did was so offensive to him, that he can't bring himself to be around you again, so he has kept his distance without hating you. He also has a right to that decision. Or maybe he is so embarrassed about not speaking to you for so long, he doesn't know how to approach you again. <br /><br />Matthew 5:23 comes to mind. Why not just go to him, but expect that he might not want to talk to you, or he might be very friendly without wanting anything else, otherwise this issue will continue to bug you and your walk with Christ. <br /><br />I hope and pray that this works out well for both of you.
